Leicester Green Party predicts that Labour will lose seats as traditional supporters stay at home or switch votes.
Brian Fewster, Green Party candidate in Braunstone Park and Rowley Fields, said: "Tony Blair's support for Bush's right-wing Government in an unwise and unnecessary war brought to a head the doubts of many traditional Labour supporters. They remained patient while their government enforced privatisations and PFI, showed favours to Rupert Murdoch and rejected democratic reform of the House of Lords - but this is a betrayal too far."
He concluded: "New Labour is looking too much like old Tory. Voting Green would send this Government a powerful message that enough is enough."
