Green Candidate for Leicester West

Geoff Forse Geoff Forse has been selected to be the Green Party's general election candidate for Leicester West.

Geoff, who is 59, stood in the constituency in 1997 and has also stood many times in European and local elections. He has lived in Leicester for 15 years, is Chair of Woodgate Residents’ Association and belongs to several other local organisations.

Geoff said: "This election should be about long-term issues that will affect our quality of life, including the threat of climate change and the need for a stable economy based on people not profit. We must also make sure public services meet our needs today and in the future. These problems require not just talk but radical action."

He added: “Politicians need to find peaceful ways dealing with problem such as Iraq - and Tony Blair must not be forgiven for having taken this country to war on false pretences."
