Geoff Forse, the lead candidate in Fosse Ward, has lived in the Woodgate area since 1989. He worked for the Woodgate Residents Association, running the Woodgate Resources Centre, until March 2004, when he was made redundent because the Association lost its funding from the Lib-Dem/Tory Council. As Chair of the Woodgate Residents Association, he still helps to run the Resources Centre on a voluntary basis. He has stood in all local elections for Fosse and the old St. Augustine's ward since 1991. He has also stood in the General Election and the European Election. He was on the National Executice of the Green Party of England and Wales for five years. |

Rosie Gordon grew up in Fosse Ward. She is a trained remedial English teacher, currently a support worker for adults with learning difficulties. She was radicalised by the Chernobyl disaster, which made her aware of the threat of nuclear power and nuclear weapons - the two being intimately linked. A former Labour Party member, she became disillusioned with New Labour, which she believes isn't seriously interested in the Green agenda. |
