On Tuesday May 1, 2007, Matt Follett, the Green Party's lead candidate in Castle Ward, appeared in an MATV Television Debate with the leaders of the Labour, Lib Dem and Conservative parties. This was a live debate programme, with telephone calls from viewers from time to time.
On Wednesday May 2 at 10.40am Matt was heard in a Radio Leicester discussion with representatives of the other main parties standing in Leicester - Labour, Lib Dem, Conservative and Liberal.
Matt says: "I was pleased to be able to put the Green point of view and to challenge other parties on their commitment to the green agenda at a time when they are beginning to see the importance of what we have been saying for many years. They have a lot of catching up to do."
